Montessori Teachers Institute is an International Teachers Training Center that prepares Montessori teachers to teach in the educational system using the philosophies and theories of Dr. Maria Montessori. This education is designed so that a interested teachers may earn certification and a Diploma in Montessori teaching within a specified child age range.

MTI currently provides courses designed for these child age levels:

• Early Childhood (ages 2 1/2 through 6)

• Elementary I - II (ages 6 through 12)

PRE-REQUISITES FOR ADMISSION

• A College Degree in any field

• Enrollment Application and Transcripts

• Personal interview with the Course Director

• Previous background in education or experience in teaching is not required

PRE-REQUISITES TO QUALIFY FOR M.T.I. DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE

• Fulfillment of financial responsibilities

• Complete attendance of all lecture-demonstrations

• A total of a least 60 hours of supervised practice

• Completion of 1,000 hours of Internship

• Presentation of written Home Studies on Montessori Psychology, Methodology and Philosophy

• Successful completion of written and oral examinations

• Completion of all Montessori Manuals
